Tour cost includes bus transportation, visits to the Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji markets and admission to the Tokyo Tower main observatory. The Tokyo Tower Top observatory is not included on this tour. This tour does not include the tuna auction at Tsukiji Fish Market. We will first visit Meiji Shrine. The Meiji Shrine is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. Emperor Meiji was the first emperor of modern Japan. He ascended the throne in 1867 at the peak of the Meiji Restoration when Japan’s feudal era came to an end, and the emperor was restored to power. After visiting the Meiji shrine, walk around and experience a taste of Japan at the Tsukiji Fish Market. It is one of the largest wholesale fish markets with many retail shops and restaurants lining the streets. This is a great opportunity to try some sushi, sashimi, or grilled fish for lunch. From here, Tokyo Tower’s main observatory can be reached by an elevator or a challenging 600-step staircase. The tower’s
central location offers a great view of the city. At the base of
the tower stands the Foot Town, which houses a variety of
souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants, and an indoor amusement
park offering a variety of shows, games, and other attractions.
