You may have watched it on television, but seeing
it live is the experience of a lifetime! It’s Sumo, the
unique Japanese national pastime that is “the sport
of Emperors,”combining ancient ceremony with the
tremendous power of the sumo wrestlers themselves. In
this traditional 15 day tournament, the wrestler with the
most wins at the end of the tournament becomes the
winner. The Sumo Tournament is an exciting spectacle
held at the Kokugikan, the foremost sumo-viewing site in
all of Japan.
