Visit Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji Market Place and Asakusa Temple on
the perfect day trip to Tokyo. Meiji Shrine is Japan’s most famous
Shinto shrine, dedicated to the Meiji emperor and his wife.
Visitors to the shrine can take part in typical Shinto activities,
such as buying charms and amulets or writing out a wish on an
ema, or wooden plaque.
After visiting the Meiji shrine, experience a taste of Japan at the
Tsukiji market. Known as Tokyo’s kitchen, Tsukiji market is one of
the largest market places in Japan. The streets are lined with
retail shops, restaurants and much more. The last stop of this
tour will be the Tokyo Tower. The tower’s main observatory can
be reached by an elevator or a challenging 600-step staircase.
The tower’s central location allows the observatory a great
view of the city. At the base of the tower stands the Foot Town,
which houses a variety of souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants.
