Meiji Shrine is Japan’s most famous Shinto shrine. Shrine visitors can take part in typical Shinto activities such as buying charms and amulets or writing out a wish on an “ema” (wooden plaque). Experience a taste of Japan at Tsukiji Market, nicknamed Tokyo’s kitchen. The streets are lined with retail shops and restaurants. Lastly, visit Asakusa and its main attraction, Sensoji Temple, one of the most famous sights in Tokyo. The temple is approached via Nakamise, a shopping street that has been providing temple visitors with traditional snacks and souvenirs for centuries.
