Tour cost includes bus transportation. Kawagoe’s main street is lined with kurazukuri, or warehouse-style buildings that retain an ambience reminiscent of a town from the Edo Period (1603-1868) and allows us to imagine what the streets looked like in the past. During the Edo Period, Kawagoe prospered as a supplier of commodities to Edo (Tokyo). Since Kawagoe was an important city to the capital for trade and strategic purposes, it inherited many aspects of the Edo culture and architecture. Visit the famous Bell Tower, Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley), Kawagoe Hikkawa Shrine and much more.
