Fukiware Waterfall is located in the Northern Gunma prefecture
and is considered one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. Its
u-shaped structure guides water from three different directions,
creating a fall that’s 100 feet in width. Take a leisurely walk along
the river and marvel at the breathtaking views of the Fukiware
Waterfall and its natural surroundings. Takasaki Byakue Kannon, or
White-Robed Kannon, is a large statue of the goddess of mercy,
Kannon. She stands on Jigan-in Temple grounds in Takasaki,
Gunma prefecture. At 137 feet tall, it has nine levels and 146
steps. The levels are lined with 20 statues of Buddhist deities. It
takes about 15 minutes to reach the ninth level, which reaches
the statues shoulder height and provides a great view over the
city and surrounding mountains.
