Iyashino-sato Japanese village stands on the site of a former
farming village on the western shores of Lake Saiko. The village
was reconstructed and reopened as an open air museum and
traditional craft village where people can learn about the culture
and try out and purchase different local handicrafts. The Fuji
Kachoen Park welcomes you with over 30 varieties of feathered
friends. The owl enclosure holds more than 100 owls and most
were hand bred by the park staff and quite friendly to people!
The park is also home to an extensive selection of over 10,000
begonias, fuchsias and hydrangeas which are exhibited at the
park. You can enjoy these blooming flowers all year around. You
will also be overwhelmed by the gorgeous aerial garden, with
hanging flower baskets.
